Coach Hernan Crespo praised his players’ performance in today’s match against Pakhtakor and the victory they achieved. In the press conference held after the end of the match, Crespo said: “The match was very enjoyable for the fans, but as a team we suffered a lot on the field and I thank the players for their efforts throughout the match and in the end the team that deserved to win had won.”
Crespo said: “In the first half, we were the absolute best, but despite that we did not manage to score, and the Pakhtakor team, from only one attack, managed to score against our goal, and this is football, but in the second half we continued to dominate the match. However, this time we reached the nets of the Uzbek team three times. Which is a good thing for us as it was what helped us since we hadnt scored in the first half.”
Crespo concluded: “We have many things that we will work on in the coming days for the upcoming confrontations and we will continue to work hard until we achieve what is required of us at this stage. The Pakhtakor team always makes its performance a challenge for the teams it faces. However, we will continue to focus since the team still hasn’t qualified. We are still at the beginning, and football always holds surprises, and we have to work hard to achieve the desired results in the remaining matches for us.
