Coach Hernan Crespo described the team’s match against Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor in the AFC Champions League’s fourth round of the group stage as difficult. The coach said in his speech to the press conference at 3:30 pm today in the press conference hall of the Golden Tulip Hotel: “Once again, a difficult confrontation awaits against the Pakhtakor team. We will try to achieve a good score that will help us in our journey towards qualifying for the next round of the competition.”
On the importance of his player Edmilson, the coach said: “Edmilson is an important player for us, and in the last match he managed to present a very high level and led us to victory with the goals he scored. We will work to employ him in the right place through which he can provide assistance to the team and contribute to achieving positive results. The team as a whole is doing well on the field despite all the difficulties we are facing.”
Crespo said: “We did not know the technical level of the Pakhtakor player who was out of the match due to injury, well. The player was not well since the start of the match and did not manage to pose a threat to us, but I have to focus on my team and not focus on the absence of the other team.”
The coach concluded: “We must subject the players to recovery training after each match in order to combat the fatigue and muscle injuries that they may suffer as they play a match every 72 hours in addition to them fasting.
