Adel Yaqoub, Vice President of the Handball team, confirmed that winning the league title for the second time in a row came thanks to the efforts made by everyone within the club. Adel said: “I congratulate His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Club, and the Vice President of the Club Khalifa Khamis, and Executive Director Adnan Al Ali. We dedicate to them winning the title of the Handball League Championship for the second time in a row and it’s the fourth time in the history of the club.”

Adel continued: “Although the team stumbled during its journey in the league championship, everyone was confident that the players would return to the right path and reach the top of the standings, which is what happened. The players promised us to keep the title, and they fulfilled the promise and won the league title a week before the end of the tournament.”

Yaqoub concluded by saying: “Every time the team won the title of any championship our enthusiasm to continue winning titles and ascending to the podiums increases. Al-Duhail will continue its career with full force in the upcoming competitions, whether local or continental and we will continue to win titles and raise the club’s flag on the podiums.”
