Coach Hernan Crespo praised the team’s performance this evening at the end of its matches in the group stage of the AFC Champions League and its win over the Iranian Sepahan team.
The coach said at the press conference that was held after the match: “I am very happy with the win and I am also happy with the group that played the match and I thank them for their performance throughout the competition. The team’s victory in five matches is very special, as there was a lot of pressure from the consecutive matches.”
Crespo added: “We have a distinguished group of players in the team who are training very seriously, and the team managed to show its character during the matches we played. What happened was not easy during these qualifiers, there were a number of circumstances that we faced, but our players were prepared.”
Crespo also said: “The players had to do their best in today’s match, and we knew that the Iranian team had only one chance, but we managed to possess the maneuvering area, create danger and reach their nets, and it is the seriousness that led us to the next round of the competition.”
The coach added: “Now is the time for the players to rest, and after they come back, we will think about the next stage of the tournament and we will prepare our players as required.”
