However on the other hand, we committed a lot of defensive mistakes in addition to a lack of concentration, which made Al Rayyan score their goals. They were the quickest to score and we could have been able to avoid the individual and collective mistakes that occurred. Although we were late in the score at the end of the first half, we were close to equalize.

The coach added: I was convinced and confident that my team would come back in the second half, and this is the reality of the performance we demonstrated. I watched Al Rayyan’s last game in the league versus Al Gharafa, and the scenario was identical to what happened today, as Al Gharafa won in the last minutes, and today’s victory is very important for us. We had to win, especially since the match was versus our direct competitor in the league.
