The team lost their match today at 7:30 pm at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium to Umm Salal in Round 10 of the Expo Stars League by a clean goal, leaving the team at 16 points in fourth position.

The team imposed their control on the field early and succeeded in putting Umm Salal under pressure due to the continuous attack and positive movements of the both players Al Moez Ali and Isaac Lihadj on the wings, taking advantage of the retreat of Umm Salal players and their reliance on counter-attacks. Olunga almost opened the scoring early but missed the cross pass that he received from Al Moez.

Despite the continuous offensive pressure, Umm Salal succeeded in keeping the danger away from their goal in more than one opportunity until the referee blew his whistle, announcing the end of the first half in a goalless draw.

In the second half, the team continued their pressure, searching for the leading goal, while Umm Salal continued their defensive performance, relying on counterattacks, one of which succeeded in scoring the match only goal through player Osama Tannan in the 64th minute with a shot from outside the penalty area.

Umm Salal goal made the team launch an attack to tie the score, and they almost succeeded in doing so through Olunga, who succeeded in reaching the net, but the referee ruled out the goal after using VAR technology.
