Galtier: The match versus Al Sadd is an early season summit…

Al Duhail first team head coach, Christophe Galtier, emphasized the difficulty of the upcoming match versus Al Sadd, considering it one of the strongest confrontations and expected to be the highlight of the next round. Despite Al Sadd challenging start to this season, they demonstrated exceptional performance last season and possess a formidable attacking line.

This statement was made during the pre-match press conference held by coach Christophe Galtier, attended by our player Luis Alberto, in the conference hall at Al Duhail Sports Club headquarters.

During the press conference, Galtier affirmed that our team must defend strongly against Al Sadd, impose our usual style of play, and continue playing with the tactical approach we have become accustomed to. We must also maintain good ball possession.

Galtier continued his statements, saying, “Of course, Al Sadd has excellent attacking players like Akram Afif, in addition to the young Brazilian Giovanni and the Spaniard Cristo. Our players must be cautious, especially with the quick counter-attacks that could pose a threat to our defense.”

Galtier added, “The team is fully prepared, except for the absence of Ibrahima Diallo due to the red card he received in the last match. We are still at the beginning of the league after only five rounds, and Al Sadd has experienced and talented players. There will be no advantage for either team, but it will be a strong match as expected.”

Galtier concluded: “The match against Al Sadd is a match against a direct competitor, one of three or four teams competing this season alongside our team. However, the match against Al Sadd is a summit early in the current season. We have about 17 matches remaining after this match, and regardless of the result, even if it is positive for us, we cannot claim to have secured the title.”
