Al Duhail first football team achieved a resounding 5-0 victory over their hosts, Al Arabi Sports Club, in Round 10 of the Ooredoo Stars League, played at Al Thumama Stadium.
Coached by Christophe Galtier, Al Duhail started the match with the following lineup:

Al Duhail players didn’t have to wait long to score, as Humam Al Amin’s shot from the left found the back of Al Arabi net in the 5th minute of the first half.
Our players quickly doubled their lead in the 9th minute, this time through a header from Lucas Veríssimo.
Benjamin Bourigeaud opened his scoring account in the Qatar Stars League with a stunning goal in the 26th minute after receiving a cross from Ismail Mohamed, controlling it with his chest before firing it powerfully into Al Arabi net.
In the second half, with the team comfortably ahead, the pace of the game slowed down.
Luis Alberto joined the list of the team scorers in the match when he received the ball inside Al Arabi penalty area and fired a powerful shot into the bottom right corner of the goal, making it 5-0 for Al Duhail in the 65th minute.
Minute 76 witnessed a dangerous opportunity from Edmilson, but his ball hit the outside of Al Arabi’s goal, followed by a cross from Hammam Al Amin in minute 77, which was headed by Rashid Al Abdullah with a wonderful header, but the crossbar prevented Al Duhail from reaching the sixth goal.
The remaining minutes of the match did not witness anything new in terms of the result, so referee Mohammed Al Shamri blew his whistle, announcing Al Duhail’s victory with three new points on the way to competing to win the league title this season.
With this victory, Al Duhail points tally rises to 25, extending their lead at the top of the Ooredoo Stars League table and increasing the gap between them and second-placed Al Sadd to 4 points.
