In January 2021 and before the participation of our team in the Club World Cup, the contract with the young goalkeeper Salah Zakaria, born in April 24, 1999, and coming from Al Wakra Club was announced. It was a deal that only those who watched the league matches and are familiar with the minute details had noticed.
After joining the team, Salah found himself in a high-endurance test, as his first participation with the team was in the Club World Cup, in which Zakaria played well, and in which he sent a reassuring message to the team’s fans.
Salah secured a key place in the team’s squad and never missed participating with Al Duhail unless he was away with the Olympic team or had suffered an injury. He completed his first season and participated in 23 matches, 10 of which were in the league, 6 in the AFC Champions League, 3 in The Emir Cup, 2 matches in the Qatar Cup and 2 matches in the FIFA Club World Cup.
During his participation in the AFC Champions League, which is currently being held in Saudi Arabia, Salah managed to shine clearly during the team’s matches against Iran’s Sepahan and Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor. He contributed greatly to the positive results of the team that made them at the top of their group. Everyone is waiting for Salah to continue his great level until the team passes from the group stage to the next round of competition.
