Al Duhail Club CEO Mr. Adnan Al Ali assured that our first team of football is ready for the QSL kick-off despite the shortage in the number of players due to joining the National Team in anticipation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Al Ali stated to the club official website: The preparations went in the way set by the technical staff led by the Argentinean Head Coach Hernan Crespo, which commenced in the mid of June followed by the external training camp in Austria, during which the team played several friendly games.
Al Ali said: We will go through an exceptional season during which we will miss the efforts of our players who joined the national team, however we are confident in the available players in presenting themselves which an opportunity for them to impose their presence in the main squad.
Al Ali continued: The presence of this large number of our players with the national team is an evidence of the strength of our team and our possession of distinguished players. Noting that their absence during the first rounds of the league will impose a great responsibility on the shoulders of their teammates and push them to exert the efforts required from them.
Al Ali concluded: We succeeded at the end of last season to be crowned the champions of the Amir Cup as well as qualifying to Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League. Now our objective is to regain the QSL title which we missed in the previous two seasons.
