Al Duhail Head Coach Hernan Crespo assured that the match versus Al Markhiya will be mentally tough. The Coach said in the pre-match press conference held today at 6 pm in the Club’s press conference hall: A risky confrontation due to the mental status of our players as we are entering this game right after the semifinal of Qatar Cup and before our coming most crucial match in the AFC Champions League 2022. I would like to ask the players not to be distracted as I have faith in their abilities. We will work on winning and to maintain the leading position.
Crespo added: I always try to select the best 11 players who are technically and physically ready, as selecting the squad is always according to the strategy of the match. There are matches that require a squad with certain technical characteristics, and currently I am not thinking about our match against Al Rayyan in the AFC Champions League. All my thinking is about how to overcome the Al Markhiya and achieve victory.
Crespo concluded: I am satisfied with the performance of the team strikers in the recent matches. Our team owns the Kenyan Michael Olunga (the league top scorer), the Korean Nam Tae He, who has been very crucial with his assists in particular in the last game versus Al Wakra and of course our Qatari striker Al Moez Ali. I can’t ask for more from them. The team scored 9 goals in the last 4 games which is good.
