Al Duhail Head Coach Hernan Crespo assured that the team will enter the match all eyes on accomplishing their second title this season. The coach said in the pre-match press conference held at 12 noon today in Al Sadd Club press conference hall: First we are so proud and honored to be part of the this final match of such distinguished competition. Last season Al Duhail succeeded in reaching this stage as well with Mr. Luis Castro but didn’t win the title.
Crespo said: We have worked really hard in the semifinal match to be in the final match, and I hope that our efforts will be crowned with winning the title.
Crespo continued: Since I came to Doha and signed with the team, my first goal was to have a competitive team that enters each tournament in order to win its title. We succeeded in winning the Ooredoo Cup, which is important to me because we defeated Al Sadd, Al Arabi and Al Rayyan, and these teams participated in their starting line-up, while we played the first confrontations in the group stage without our international players, now I know how important this tournament is and we want to win it this season.
Crespo added: Al Sadd is a big team and they have won may titles. We would love to compete with them and defeats such big teams as Al Sadd. Sometimes we start the match of the wrong foot and other times we do perform well on the field. Tomorrow’s match requires our top focus to win the title.
Crespo concluded: I am a passionate coach who loves winning titles, and we will work to win all titles this season. It is a work that requires a great effort from everyone, and we have a great opportunity to achieve this. We know that Al Sadd match may witness a number of surprises, but we will work to avoid them in order to get the required result. I have a group of quality players who have fighting spirit and love to compete on the field.
