Al Duhail Head Coach Christophe Galtier expressed his hope that his team will be ready for their upcoming match versus Muaither in the postponed Round 13 fixture of the league. In a statement to the club’s official website, the coach said: “We have a match versus Muaither coming up after the disappointment and loss we suffered in the Super Cup match three days ago, but we must quickly gather our breath and forget that loss, even though the tight schedule does not give us the opportunity to re-energize and revitalize the team.”
Galtier added: “We will enter the match with a number of absences, as Kim Moon-Huan and Isaac Lehadj continue to be absent, in addition to our player Ismail Mohamed, who suffered a head injury in our last match in Dubai.”
The coach continued: “Although we are not playing for the league title, we must respect all teams, especially as there is a battle at the bottom to escape relegation, and therefore we must play the match with all our seriousness and determination to achieve a positive result, not only in this match but in all the remaining matches for us, as they are part of the preparation for the Amir Cup, where strong matches await us.”
At the end of his speech, Galtier concluded: “We must be fully prepared, have the energy and strength, and appear at the same level as we did in our last match versus Al Sadd.
