Al Duhail first team of football secured a 2-1 victory over Qatar in the opening round of the QSL Cup. The match took place at Thani Bin Jassim Stadium, home to Al Gharafa Sports Club.

Ibrahima Diallo opened the scoring for Al Duhail in the 21st minute of the first half. However, Qatar equalized before halftime. Mubarak Shanan then secured the victory for Al Duhail in the 67th minute. With this win, Al Duhail topped Group A with 3 points.
The technical staff ked by the Head Coach Galtier aims to maximize the team participation in the QSL Cup by giving playing time to several first-team players, assessing their readiness for upcoming challenges, especially with the absence of international players during the current international break.
It is worth mentioning that Al Duhail will face Al Ahli in the second round of the QSL Cup on Saturday, 07 September 2024, at Al Khor Stadium at 08:30 PM.
