Al Duhail defeats Qatar and maintains the lead in the Ooredoo Stars League…

The first football team of Al Duhail Club managed to achieve a great victory over Qatar Club with four goals to one in the matches of Round 12 and the opening fixtures of the second leg of the Ooredoo Stars League competition.

The match was played at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Al Duhail Sports Club.

Al Duhail, led by Christophe Galtier, started the match with the following lineup:

In the 11th minute of the first half, Humam Al Amin opened the scoring for Al Duhail after taking advantage of Luis Alberto’s magical pass from the free kick he executed on the edge of the Qatar Club penalty area to find himself facing the Qatar Club goal to skillfully put the ball into the net, scoring the first goal.

In the 35th minute, and from a wonderful exchange of balls between Al Moez Ali and Luis Alberto, the Qatar goalkeeper was able to block Al Moez Ali’s powerful shot, which rebounded to his teammate Ibrahim Bamba to shoot it again towards the Qatar goal, but it hit the defender and easily reached the goalkeeper’s hand.

In the 37th minute, Humam Al Amin managed to visit Qatar Club net after taking advantage of his skill to dribble past Qatar Club defender to put the ball into the net, scoring Al Duhail second goal of the match.

The 79th minute witnessed a shot from our player Edmilson Junior, but Qatar Club goalkeeper succeeded in stopping it and prevented a third goal opportunity for Al Duhail.

The 84th minute witnessed a dangerous opportunity for Al Duhail after Al Moez Ali was alone in front of the Qatar goal, firing a powerful shot that went just over the crossbar.

The last minute of regular time witnessed a third goal for Al Duhail, scored by the team captain Al Moez Ali, who succeeded in putting the ball into the net after a strong start from the middle of the field, making the score three clean goals.

Al Moez Ali quickly returned to shine after adding Al Duhail fourth goal with a perfect cross pass from his teammate Humam Al Amin to put it into the empty goal.

Before the end of the mat h, Qatar SC managed to reduce the gap and score their only goal of the match, for the referee Abdullah Al Athba blew his whistle immediately after announcing Al Duhail victory with three new points, which kept The Tornado at the top of the Ooredoo Stars League.

With this win, Al Duhail score rose to 28 points, moving away at the top of the Ooredoo Stars League, which it has maintained since the first round until the end of Round 12.
