Al Duhail Olympic football team achieved a thrilling victory over Al Rayyan, the league leader, at the end of the first leg. The match, part of the 12th round of the Qatari Olympic League, ended 2-1.

Al Rayyan took the lead through Davi Cruz in the 35th minute of the first half. However, Mubarak Shanan equalized for Al Duhail Olympic team with a stunning strike from outside the penalty area at the start of the first half added time.

In the final moments, as everyone anticipated a draw, Mubarak Shanan once again delivered a decisive goal for Al Duhail in Al Rayyan net in the fifth minute of the stoppage time. The match ended with Al Duhail Olympic team defeating Al Rayyan 2-1.

With this victory, Al Duhail climbed to second place behind Al Rayyan, reducing the gap to just one point. Al Duhail Olympic team now has 23 points at the end of the 12th round.
