Al Duhail strengthens points difference at the top of the league with a win over Al Wakra…

Al Duhail first football team managed to continue their victories after achieving a deserved victory with two clean goals over Al Wakra in the Round 15 fixture of the Ooredoo Stars League that was held at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Al Duhail Club.

Michael Olunga quickly returned to correct his cause of canceling the second goal after he was able to add the second goal for the Tornado in the 56th minute after he took advantage of Al Moez Ali’s cross to turn and shoot it powerfully towards Al Wakra goal, the goalkeeper was merely observed it inside his team net.

Minute 76 witnessed a shot from Humam Al Amin, followed by Al Moez Ali’s shot in the 83rd minute, but both opportunities passed safely by Al Wakra goal.

The substitute Hakim Ziyech, the new Al Duhail player, appeared in the 89th minute with a shot towards Al Wakra goal that was cleared for a corner, then in the fifth minute of stoppage time, another shot for Al Duhail by Mubarak Shanan.

The ten minutes of stoppage time in the second half did not result in anything new in terms of the result, so Khamis Al Marri, the match referee, blew his whistle announcing Al Duhail victory with two clean goals.

With this victory, the Tornado maintained the 4-point difference over their runners-up, Al Sadd, after raising their score to 35 points, and Al Duhail will face Al Sadd in the next round in the the big clash of Round 16 after the end of the next break period.
